Ibiza is an island from the movies full of great natural “sets” and with a long trajectory on the big screen.  There are already two important festivals: THE IBIZA AND FORMENTERA INTERNATIONAL FILM FESTIVAL, which started this year and the FESTIVAL DEL MAR (INTERNATIONAL GAY AND LESBIAN FILM FESTIVAL), which this year runs into its fourth edition.  Furthermore, demonstrations of ‘shorts’ are organised, as are cycles of projections which move away from the more commercial  side and seek more quality, such as the cycle “Anem al Cine”.
Numerous films have been shot here, ‘shorts’, video-clips, TV adverts…  And that is because the island unites all the necessary elements: glamour, light, landscape, calm, fun… to convert it into one big set.
On the island producers, directors, writers, drama schools, actors and actresses cohabitate in enviable climate and surroundings, who work to consolidate Ibiza as an island from the movies.
