Pablo Acuña’s works provoke a sensation of controlled disorder which captures the viewer from the first moment.  One’s senses are seduced by the intensity of his colours and textures, which he controls with absolute precision in each of his paintings, opening his mind and his heart through micro universes which absorb the viewer.

About the artist:
                                                                    
Pablo Acuña was born in Concepción (Chile) in 1959 and started to take an interest in art after finishing his secondary studies, and a strong link between the artist and paint was born, which remains intact to the present day.
The decade of the 80s marked his path, as then he received classes from the prestigious painter Robles Acuña, he worked with Sergio Stitchkin, he experimented with techniques like charcoal, pastels, landscapes in oils and still life; and he accompanied Gonzalo Landea as helper in his workshop in Providencia.
In the 90s he started to work in the family business of industrial paint services, which allowed him to carry on experimenting with different mixtures of industrial paint and oils, creating and perfecting his own technique, which the artist calls ‘Técnica Gestual’ or ‘Gesture Painting’.
Actually, Pablo Acuña has come to the island to continue with his personal and artistic baggage, with the idea of settling here with his family.  He is a member of the Ibizan artistic collective ‘La Ruta del Arte’ (The Art Route).
