Frígola is the finest traditional liquor Ibiza, distillate thyme flower that grows on the island and that gives this unique and original flavor. It is ideal to combine with all kinds of pastries liquor.
Traditionally in the Pitiusa thyme flower it has been used for many applications, as perfuming dried figs and snail stews, or relieve stomach aches and sore throats.
It contains very aromatic essential oils and antiseptic properties.
But it is also the basic ingredient of frígola, stomachic liqueur usually prepared by the distillation of the flower of thyme in an alembic.
Once the extract obtained to a mixture of molasses and sugar alcohol is added. And the result is a sweet orange liqueur, thin, aromatic and very few 30 º graduation. It is digestive, and usually it is taken after meals, alone or with ice.
