Of the 29 from September to the 3 In October, the June lluna Poetry Festival takes place after a year of hiatus due to the coronavirus. Concerts, poetry recitals, round tables ...
This year, the festival takes five days, one more than in previous years and the activities will take place in such emblematic places as Sa Nostra Sala on Aragón Street in Ibiza, the Baluard de Sant Pere in Dalt Vila and the cloister of the Ibiza Town Hall.
This twenty-ninth edition of the contest is organized, like all the above, by the cultural manager and artist Carles Fabregat and the musician Joan Murenu in collaboration with the Culture area, Education and Heritage of the Consell d'Eivissa, the Vila City Council and the Balearic Government.
Several special tributes will be paid. One of them will be the Mallorcan poets Damià Huguet and Miquel Ángel Riera, deceased ago 25 years just one day apart. Another, to the priest and poet Josep Planells, to be held in the church of Sant Rafel with a dialogue between poets that will bring the figure of Gustavo Adolfo Bécquer closer to the public.
The event closes in the municipal library of Ibiza with a conversation about the symbolism in the poetry of the veteran poet Toni Roca that will feature Rosa Rodríguez and Àngels Escandell.
The participation of prominent poets such as Nora Albert and Julio Herranz, along with others from Catalonia and Portugal, such as Sebastià Alzamora or Joao Rasteira, is expected.. All of it, according to Fabregat, «With the intention of creating bridges between the Catalan language and culture and the other languages of the world, all partners in weaving the universal poetic framework ».
All festival activities are free and no prior reservation is necessary.
