Culture, tradition, music, sports, processions…Ibiza offers a wide array of activities for children and adults during its fiestas
The central act is the City of Ibiza’s Gold Medal ceremony on August 5, Santa Maria’s feast day.
Another popular event for families is the traditional picnic (berenada) on Puig des Molins, where typical local dishes and products can be enjoyed to the accompaniment of music and games. This picnic takes place on August 8, San Ciriaco’s feast day, after the mass and the procession to the Chapel of San Ciriaco.
Events for the younger crowd include pop-rock concerts, a number of sport activities, such as sailing competitions, the Popular Basketball Tournament, a swimming competition, the Triathlon, the beach volleyball championship and the Milla Urbana Popular Ciutat d’Eivissa track event, among others.
Seniors will be paid a tribute, whereas the youngest set can enjoy Divertilandia, a series of playful activities that will take place on Paseo Vara de Rey.
