The
red, rosé and white wines that produces the island reflect Ibiza’s singular
soil and climate
| Can Rich de Buscastell’s wine cellar and vineyardsare located in Sant Antoni de Portmany, where its vines are cultivated
according to standards established by the Balearic Council of Ecological
Agriculture. Founded in 1997, it strives to pay tribute to the first men and
women who ploughed the soil on Ebusus (Ibiza) and introduced the winemaking
 culture: the Phoenicians.
The wine cellar began production with a 17-hectare plantation of vineyardsand a selection of traditional varieties such as Monastrell and Malvasía. In
order to improve the island’s wines, varieties such as Chardonnay for white
wines and Cabernet Sauvignon, Tempranillo, Merlot and Syrah for red wines and
 rosés have also been included.
The wine cellar was constructed back in 1999 and new production techniques, pneumatic presses, stainless steel tanks and a state-of-the-art bottling
plant, etc., have been incorporated. Through these practices and the
application of ecological agriculture standards, the work carried in the
vineyards is reflected in the wines’ high quality and variety: whites, rosés,
reds, red selection, Ereso (a white Chardonnay) and Lausos (a red Cabernet
 Sauvignon) and vintage wines.
The vineyard also produces Hierbas Ibicencas, a local herb liqueur, and oliveoil.
