The Di Matteo Art Gallery in Santa Eulalia is hosting a sculpture show of the international artist Christopher Stone called Eclectic untill to the end of August 2009. Stone has traipsed through Luxor, Assuan or Cairo in search of inspiration for his study of Egyptian art, apart from also carrying out a study of eastern European art in the Czech Republic.

Christopher Stone is attracted by the skill and creativity shown in the forms that he is capable of modelling, practically without any prior sketches or outlines because he prefers a direct cut over the stone, using surrealistic and cubist techniques to obtain geometric forms and voluptuous curves that transmit a message that ranges from the symbolic to the satirical.
