RADIO UC CULTURAL COLLECTIVE. 87.8 FM

is celebrating its birthday…

¿Can you believe that a communications medium can survive without advertising?

Well, Radio Uc has survived and is celebrating its birthday thanks to the hard work of its members and the support of those people who believe in the cultural and social objectives which characterise this radio station which is now 15 years old.

Its home is in Ibiza, in the ‘calle Bes’, and although it’s small, more like a crafts workshop, within fit great utopias and dreams.

At present it boasts 14 programmes conducted by people who have made a free and creative experimental workshop of Uc radio station: music, poetry, radiophonic inventions, interviews, chats, radio dramas…tuned in with a public looking for alternative contents.

Whoever wishes to get on the air has a space in Radio UC, its many aims include promoting new programmes and cultural exchange, enabling people to express themselves freely and independently via radio.

Also it promotes concerts, alternative publications, barbecues and get-togethers, ideas and projects which provoke communication and collective participation.

Radio Uc is the free expression of the popular culture of Ibiza, and of all the cultures that live here, “el vent en una illa de pirates” (the wind on an island of pirates) as its slogan goes.
